Company Philosophy

In achieving company success, RES, in an effort to provide our customers with the best possible services, gauges our performance and efforts based on 5 key elements:

Talented and Dedicated Employees - RES employees are dedicated to realizing the company vision, are well trained and experienced in their respective fields, and are well versed in the philosophy that the “customers’ expectation comes first.”

Focus on the Needs of the Customer - RES is committed to listening to our customer needs and communicating with them on a “real time” basis on activities occurring on the customer projects. As a small business, the RES customer has direct access to key management personnel up to and including the company president should the customer experience any concerns or simply requires additional information.

Flexibility and Out-of-the-Box Thinking - RES prides itself in looking at certain projects from multiple directions and analyzing various options to provide the optimum solution for the customer from both a cost perspective and best performance that can be possible. Again, being a small business allows RES the flexibility to provide the customer a quick response in providing these best possible solutions.

Partnerships - As a small business, in a growth mode, we recognize that achieving the best outcomes requires working effectively with our strategic team members. They are pre-screened and selected based on sharing the RES requirement for excellence in performing in their respective fields and fair and reasonable prices. From our customer perspective, we look at our customer as a partner also in order to achieve best value on any project we perform.

Safety- Since most of our services performed involve the construction or construction related activities, safety is one of our most important criteria when performing for our customers. As of 2007, RES has performed projects totaling 120,000 man hours with zero reportable injuries. In May 2008, RES was awarded the Louisiana Workmen’s Compensation Corp safest 70 award for excellence in workplace safety. (See attached letter on our projects page).

Benefits of Working with RES Contractors, LLC

For Our Private Industry Customer

If you are a large business that is performing public works contracts for Federal, State, or local governments over a certain dollar threshold, you are most likely required to provide a small business plan advising that you will use best faith efforts to providing subcontract opportunities for small and/or minority owned businesses. As mentioned earlier, RES is a SBA certified (8)/HubZone small business that can help you fill that niche.

In addition, you can be assured that the services you receive will be of the highest quality at a fair and reasonable price. RES is also very familiar with the certain rules and regulations that are required under these type of contracts (such as FAR) with an in-house contract manager that has over 28 years of experience. This translates into cost savings by eliminating the necessity of your administrative and project management department being forced to provide excessive oversight on the subcontracting services. You will be provided services and documentation in accordance with all contractual requirements correctly, the first time.

For large public work contracts that are set-aside for certain small businesses and initially may tax RES capabilities, RES is always open to the possibility of teaming with a larger company that can supplement RES personnel and equipment capabilities. If it makes business sense, and your company provides quality services in an ethical manner at a reasonable price, RES is available to discuss business relationships. Some relationships such as Mentor-protégé and joint ventures are partnership arrangements that can benefit both parties.

Many commercial large companies pride themselves on their procurement diversity programs and RES, as a Native American Owned minority business, can provide services to your organization to help fulfill those programs.

For Our Federal, State, and Local Government Customers

RES has performed on numerous projects for the Federal and state government since its founding. According to the performance and evaluation reports we have received, we have had above average to excellent ratings. For a small business that has been in existence for 6 years, we believe this is an outstanding accomplishment. One criteria of measure that we often hear is that “RES has performed services with minimal to no cost growth on the project”. This leads us to believe that we price projects fairly and reasonably the first time and manage the projects competently during performance. We are proud of that accomplishment.

RES has developed a management infrastructure that it believes is far superior to any other local 8(a) or HUBZone owned small business. Among key management functions and tools that have matured rapidly are: (1) thorough understanding of wage determination applicability and reporting requirements such as the Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon; (2) thorough understanding of scheduling tools and utilization to accommodate dynamic field conditions; (3) understanding of potential changes doctrine; (4) accurate and mature cost reporting systems; (5) superior quality control and health and safety program and rigid adherence to them; (5) thorough understanding of the complexity of Federal and State procurement regulations at both the Prime and subcontract level ; and (6) strong bonding capabilities superior to most other small businesses.

Because of our experience gleaned in a relatively short period of time and our mature management infrastructure, we believe we can provide our customer superior, reasonably priced services in the public market.

For Our Small Business Customer

If you are a small business seeking supplementation of capabilities for a particular contract opportunity in the public works sector, RES should be your subcontractor of choice to assist you in the areas of capabilities we have previously mentioned that we can perform.

Because of our knowledge base regarding particular rules and regulations that are unique to this contracting environment, we can assist other small businesses with understanding the myriad of administrative processes that may appear daunting at times.

In addition to the foregoing, RES encourages other small businesses that can provide unique services to contact us for potential teaming opportunities. Most small businesses obtain growth through synergistic relationships with others.
